Data Protection During the Coronavirus Pandemic

April 9, 2020
Data Protection During the Coronavirus Pandemic

About the Webinar

The Swiss Government, as well as public and private organizations, are taking necessary steps to contain the spread and mitigate the effects of COVID-19. Also, many of these steps will involve the processing of personal data, such as name, address, workplace, travel details of persons, including data relating to their health.

During COVID-19, there are essential considerations that should be taken into account when handling personal data in these contexts, particularly health and other sensitive data. Organizations should have regard to the specific obligations.

Samir Aliyev, DPO Program Director at the Executive School of the University of St.Gallen and CEO of Swiss Cyber Forum, will talk on Data Protection during the COVID-19 pandemic, current know-how, and expert knowledge.

Also, he will discuss with Baroum Mrad, DPO of the Cantonal Hospital of Ticino, on what the best practices are and the challenges that an organization (such as a hospital) could be facing.

You can access the recording of the webinar on a few days after the session. You will also find an overview of all upcoming webinars there.
